Der Rosenkavalier is known for showcasing the female voice, and the final trio represents some of Richard Strauss's best writing. The Marschallin, a princess, loves the much younger Octavian. In this heart-wrenching trio structured as three separate soliloquies, the Marschallin releases Octavian to Sophie and blesses their union. Laura sings the role of the Marschallin. Peter Freisinger conducts.

Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem), as contrasted to other Requiem masses, presents no doctrine. Instead it is a work of consolation, offering hope and solace without suggesting judgment or terror. It is also performed in German as opposed to the traditional Latin. Laura performs as the soprano soloist with Masterworks Chorale. Masterworks Chorale Music Director Kevin Leong conducts.

Beethoven's Ah! perfido, a dramatic scene for soprano, is a monologue for a woman who has been deserted by her lover.  In its recitative and aria, she vacillates between asking the gods to punish her lover and wanting them to show him mercy. Laura performs this scena as part of The Stronger for the Providence Fringe Festival.

The best-known of Fauré's large works, the composer himself said "Everything I managed to entertain by way of religious illusion I put into my Requiem, which moreover is dominated from beginning to end by a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest." As the soprano soloist, Laura sings the timeless Pie Jesu. Masterworks Chorale Music Director Kevin Leong conducts.

Based on Christopher Bond's retelling of the Victorian pennydreadful The String of Pearls, (which was itself a retelling of a British myth, possibly rooted in truth) this musical (with a book by Hugh Wheeler) tells the tale of Sweeney Todd, a murderous barber, and his partner in crime, Nellie Lovett, a baker who disposes of the bodies by baking them into her pies. Meanwhile, Anthony Hope, a sailor who saved Todd's life, falls in love with Todd's estranged daughter, Johanna, who is being brought up as the ward of the twisted Judge Turpin. Laura appears as the mysterious Beggar Woman.

Milton Community Concerts presents the tenth annual "Sing For Their Supper" benefit concert at the First Parish Church of Milton. This event will feature 10 opera singers from around New England in a popular program of opera and musical theater favorites to support two local charities.

The singers for this concert have come to Boston from all over the US. They have appeared with many local and national performing organizations, and many have performance degrees from the city's most prominent music schools. They have distinguished careers as opera singers, recitalists, and concert artists.

This concert is supported by a grant from the Milton Cultural Council (a part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council) and many private donations.

Laura covers Kirsten Chambers as Mrs. Poe, and sings on the soon-to-be-released cast recording.
